Home to thousands of wallabies, East Point Reserve is a wonderful
recreational area which has extensive walking and cycling paths
which is popular among the locals and visitors alike. The reserve
boost many free barbecue facilities dotted around its many attractions.
Located within the reserve is Lake Alexander which provides a safe
all year swimming hole and is a popular place to watch the sunset.
Many people are unaware that Australia was extensively bomded during
World War II. The threat of a Japanese invasion of Australia through
Darwin makes East Point Reserve an interesting place to see the
remanants of war. Gun Turrets and numerous militry buildings are
on display throughout the area.
