Laundry
Ruins Index.
This concrete slab is the remains
of the Laundry. Fannie Bay Gaol operated as a labour prison. There
were old coppers set up on the slab for laundry work. In the 1960`s
a laundry was built and the prison had the contract to launder sheets
of the Government hostels and other organisations in town. This
entire building blew away during Cyclone Tracy.
