Ubirr
Rock Index.
Aboriginal rock art and sweeping
views of the Nardab floodplain makes Ubirr a special place. With
galleries featuring fascinating Aboriginal paintings, Ubirr is also
the location of a shelter used as a home for thousands of years.
A 1.5 km walk takes you past numerous rock art sites and a large
rocky outcrop provides an outstanding view of the Nardab Floodplain.
The sunset views are particularly stunning. From May to September,
Rangers provide free informative talks about Ubirr and the Aboriginal
art and culture surrounding it.
